Sky Dishes

28 03 2007

Please be aware that Piccadilly Lofts (70-72 Dale St) is a grade II listed building. Therefore alterations to it’s exterior or interior is subject to approval from ‘The Local Planning Authority’. This includes the addition of satellite dishes and any other aerials/antenna on the outside of the building.

It is a duty of all leaseholders to adher to Planning Authority imposed regulations, as per your lease.

Moving forward PLML requests the immediate removal of all satellite dishes currently attached to the walls of Piccadilly Lofts. This is the
responsibility  of current residents and, if appropriate, their landlord. If the dishes are not removed by the appropriate persons, they will be removed by a sub-contractor at an expense to the leaseholder. A formal letter will be circulated to all residents to this effect shortly.

On a more positive note, the opportunity of the Lofts having a communal dish or two is being investigated and we are expecting further formal quotes within the next seven days.

Back Piccadilly

26 03 2007

yellow.jpgPLML today received confirmation from the council that double yellow lines will be put in place on Back Piccadilly. Unfortunately, the time scale for this is “within the next twelve months.” The transport department is also in discussion with local businesses to resolve the problem that delivery trucks are posing with regards to entering / exiting the car park.

Caretaker

22 03 2007

handyman_small.jpgIt has taken a long time, but PLML are pleased to announce that we are very close to guaranteeing the full-time services of an experienced building manager/caretaker. Hopefully we will be able to introduce you to him at our next residents meeting.

Deep Clean

22 03 2007

bucket-and-mop.gifI am sure you are well aware that ‘The Lofts’ are in need of some TLC at the moment. Because of this, a thorough clean has been organised for the last Friday of this month. I hope you will all notice a huge improvement.

Residents Meeting

15 03 2007

Following on from our successful residents meeting in January we are pleased to announce the date of the next meeting:

Tuesday April 3rd at 7.30pm at Lammars, Northern Quarter.

As previously this will be an informal meeting and social gathering but will give you chance to speak to Directors of Piccadilly Lofts Management Company about issues that affect you.

Whether you are a tenant or leaseholder Piccadilly Lofts is your home – we want to hear your views.

Further to comments at the last meeting the main concerns and actions now being taken are below:

Security – the CCTV cameras around the Lofts and garage are now fully operational and reviewed periodically. If you witness any incidents please inform us as logs are now being kept and video can be saved and used as evidence.
Caretaker – We have interviewed a number of potential candidates and by the next meeting hope to have details of the new caretaker / security officer.
Cleaning – The Lofts will be having a deep clean on Friday 30th March.
Noisy Neighbours – The council have been informed about persistent offenders and we have a new policy for dealing with inconsiderate neighbours.
Website – We hope to launch the Piccadilly Lofts website at the residents meeting

Please remember Piccadilly Lofts is a NON SMOKING building. Unfortunately we do have someone who insists on tearing down the non-smoking signs every time we replace them. This means budget is being used on their replacements and therefore taken from other areas where we need the money to improve the Lofts – its your service charge please think about your actions.

We are pleased to say that the ‘stolen’ plants from reception after a visit from the Police have been returned to there rightful home. Again if you witness any behaviour that is not acceptable please report it – action will be taken.

Moving forward we want to make Piccadilly Lofts a safe and secure place to live, one we can all be proud to live in. Your continued support, effort, comments and ideas are welcome so please get in contact via piccadillylofts@hotmail.co.uk and we look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
